As a composite refractory material, this nitride contains 75%-80% silicon nitride and 12%-17% free iron. It has low thermal expansion coefficient, good thermal conductivity, as well as anti-spalling and corrosion resistance properties. It exhibits excellent durability, low consumption rate, and ease of casting at the taphole.
2. Applications:
Ferrosilicon Nitride is an indispensable raw material for blast furnace gun mud. Additionally, it is used as an ammonia additive for steelmaking, grinding agents, etc.
Blast furnace gun mud is typically used at the taphole of blast furnaces to protect the inner lining bricks. It ensures stable tapping time and taphole depth, allowing customers to operate normally under harsh conditions such as high temperature and high tapping ratio.
Apart from conventional synthetic gun mud and resin gun mud, mixed gun mud made from Ferrosilicon Nitride combines all the advantages of gun mud and can be used in various environments.
